ATSi has the facility for the inspection of pipelines, tanks and equipment with insulation using Pulsed Eddy Current.
Pulsed Eddy Current Testing (PEC) is a most sophisticated inspection service provided by ATSi for the inspection of ferromagnetic pipes, tanks and equipment without removing the insulation or fire proofing. Inspection of in-service components with surface temperature of -100°C to 500° C is the biggest advantage of PEC.
PEC technique requires no coupling medium and also can be performed while the plant is in operation.
The probes can be single element, array of six elements tank floor and splash zone probes depending on the inspection requirements. The single element probes are sensitive to detect CUI, CUF and FAC in pipes, vessels and mostly on small pipes in limited access areas. The array probe is specifically for wide coverage in single pass with a high resolution and reduces inspection time. The tank floor probe is for inspecting tank floor with less access whereas splash probe is for the underwater inspections.
